checks. Your card or checking account is billed monthly as long
as you operate your store. If you choose to cancel open-a-store.com
services we stop billing you immediately.

Is there a service contract?

YES. There is a standard service contract with no obligation
for length of service use. This contract must be signed when
your order your web site.

Is the software easy to use? |

I need a Merchant Account?

NO. OASN web stores are set to hook up with PAYPAL immediately.
However, a credit card merchant account is highly recommended
if you plan to sell products on your open-a-store.com web site.

Can an existing Merchant Account be used?

YES.
All orders are transferred through encrypted e-mail and sent
directly to the billing e-mail address you specify. If you already
have a Merchant Account you can batch process your orders off-line
daily. If you want we can hook up your merchant account for
real-time processing, just let us know, we are happy to help.

Are credit card numbers stored online?

NO. open-a-store.com software does not store any sensitive credit
card or customer information online.

Am I required to have a domain name?
|
A.
NO. You may have a free sub-domain name from open-a-store.com
(yourstore.oasn.net). However, for your own marketing and branding
purposes we recommend that you purchase a domain name that works
for your company (yourstore.com). You can register your name
at any company but the best value on the web currently is godaddy.com,
where you can get a name for $8.95 a year. Simply specify NS1.OASN.net
and NS2.OASN.net as your servers and you will be all set up
to have your new domain name point to your new open-a-store.com
web store.

How long will it take to get my store set up after ordering?
|
A.
Activation is instant. Upon ordering you will receive a
user code and password and an address to your store administrator.
After opening the Administrator you will see a "View"
button. Upon clicking the view button your store will open up
and you can start creating it right away!
You can choose to hide your store or use a "coming soon"
page if you wish, just let us know. |

How long will it take for my new domain name to point to my
store?
|
A.
Upon activation of your store you will be issued a free OASN.com
extension web address so that you may immediately begin to work
on your new e-commerce web site. You can also give anyone the
address to view and order from your store.
If you already have a yourcompanyname.com address it will usually
take 24 to 48 hours to transfer the domain name to OASN servers
(NS1.OASN.net and NS2.OASN.net). In order for your web address
to transfer properly you must put in a request to your domain
name registrar such as NetworkSolutions.com or Register.com to
change the Host Servers as specified for your web address to NS1.OASN.net
and NS2.OASN.net. Then, notify us when the transfer is complete
and we will direct your name to your store. You can then access
your store administrator through the OASN generated address or
your own web address whichever you prefer, they are both the same
site.

I already have a site designed, can I use the current design
with OASN software?
|
A.YES.
You may import unlimited graphics and HTML files into your site
using the FTP MANAGER and the linking scheme listed in the
user
manual. To make your store custom
simply select the "custom" option instead of the "generated"
option and upload a file called home.html which will serve as
the index of your web store.

Can I import an entire database of products into my site without
retyping everything?

A.YES.
You may import a large database of products but we will need to
assist you.

Does the web store include products?
|
A.
NO. Each web store created with open-a-store.com software is a
unique creation based on the products or services that a company
offers. Some of our merchants may be willing to allow you to resell
their products using their images and content. Please contact
us for details.

I tried to open a store and I had a problem...what should I
do?

How do I log into my web store administrator?
|
A.
When you created your store you were issued a temporary site address
and an address for your store administrator in an e-mail titled
"Welcome to OASN". Simply cut and paste the administrator
address into your address bar, click enter and then enter your
user code and password when prompted.
You can now log into your store by typing in your store name or
user code at open-a-store.com, simply go to the home page to logon
now. PLEASE NOTE: Store name is case sensitive. |

How will people find my site?
